Introduction

Welcome to the TrinityX documentation!

TrinityX is the next generation of ClusterVision's open-source, on-premises infrastructure management solution for HPC and AI, now enhanced with CloudBursting capabilities.

It is designed from the ground up to deliver all the essential services required for modern HPC and AI systems, offering full customization of the installation. Additionally, it includes optional modules tailored to specific needs, enabling fine-tuning of compute nodes.

A standard TrinityX installation includes a variety of software components, including Luna for cluster provisioning and configuration, as well as additional services like Slurm, MariaDB, and OpenLDAP for cluster management. TrinityX is compatible with Enterprise Linux versions 8 and 9. Each of these software components is documented separately, with freely accessible documentation available online.

To avoid duplicating existing resources, the TrinityX documentation will only cover external software when necessary, such as in the case of non-standard configurations. For all other information, please refer to the original documentation of each individual software component.

Note that each TrinityX installation is adapted to the specific requirements of the cluster, and the list of installed software varies.

The documentation is split into various chapters, each of which dealing with a specific topic. They are grouped into four manuals:

  • the Installation manual on how to deploy TrinityX on your system;
  • the Administration manual for system administrators managing a TrinityX system;
  • the User manual for cluster users;
  • the API documentation for the Luna daemon.

Although each manual is destined to a specific audience, there may be hyperlinks from one manual to another when more advanced reading is suggested.

The documentation is meant to be up-to-date with the latest release as on our github. In the case of deprecated or removed features there will be a note to which versions this applies.

Support

  • Community support is provided on a best effort basis trough Github issues.

  • Commercial support for installation, tailoring and system administration is actively offered by ClusterVision Solutions).
